Abstract:
To provide a casting whose surface is exposed to hollow parts formed by casting, to provide a method for producing the same, and to provide a cast piston having excellent cooling efficiency and having high reliability.
The piston 1 is a casting in which oil galleries 20 are formed by casting. The piston 1 is provided with wire gauze 21, and each wire gauze 21 covers the surface of a piston body 11 regulating the oil gallery 20. Cooling oil is passed through each oil gallery 20.
