Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cast strip production facility enabling a faster flying touch by adjusting the plate profile of a cast strip, capable of improving yield by reduction of plate breaking or off-gage and capable of reducing a production cost.SOLUTION: In a cast strip production facility, a pair of cooling drums are made to be such a variable crown roll that the crown quantity of the cooling drums is controlled by supply and discharge of a pressure medium to and from a pressurization chamber 105 arranged inside. The cooling drums have such a recessed crown shape that a diameter of a central part in a drum width direction is made to be smaller than a diameter of both end parts in the drum width direction in such a state that the pressurization chamber 105 is not pressurized, and the diameter of the central part in the drum width direction can be changed by pressurizing the pressurization chamber 105. A length L1 of a pressurization chamber 105A in the drum width direction in one cooling drum 100A of the pair of cooling drums is made shorter than a length L2 of a pressurization chamber 105B in the drum width direction in another cooling drum 100B.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
