Abstract:

To provide a catalyst for polyolefins derived from magnesium-diketonate complex, its manufacturing method and a polymerizing method using it.

The method for producing a catalyst component for polyolefins comprises contacting a metal compound of the formula: MR2 (wherein M is a metal of the group IIA or VIIB; and R and R' are each a 1-20C, optionally substituted hydrocarbyl group) with a diketone to form a metal-bis(diketonate) of the formula: M(OCRCR'CRO)2. The catalyst component, the catalyst, a polyolefin polymer, a catalyst system and their manufacturing methods are also provided.
