PURPOSE: To improve the positioning accuracy of a deflection york.
CONSTITUTION: A deflection york 20, temporarily mounted on a cathode-ray tube, is held by means of a holding mechanism 31 having a flat plate-like holder 10, three holding mechanisms 32A-32C are arranged around the holder 10 so as to form a triangle, and three sets of linear drive mechanisms 33 are provided so as to move the holding mechanisms 32A-32C in parallel to the axis of the cathode-ray tube. Release means 34 are included in the holding mechanisms 32A-32C so that the release means 34 control only the movement in a movement direction by means of the linear drive mechanism 33 and release the other movements when the holding mechanisms 32A-32C are moved by means of the linear drive mechanism 33.
