Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently secure the atmospheric pressure resistant strength of a vacuum case even in the case where a yoke part is formed into a pyramid, and to satisfy a request for improvement of luminance and deflection of high frequency by setting a distance from a tube axis to a horizontal or a vertical axis of a screen smaller than a distance from the tube axis to a diagonal axis of a cross section of a yoke part.
SOLUTION: In a cross section of a yoke part, each distance from a tube axis Z to an outer surface of a yoke part along a horizontal axis II, a vertical axis V and a diagonal axis D of a screen is expressed with LA, SA and DA. In a pyramid-like yoke part, LA and SA are set smaller than DA. As a result, a deflecting coil near the horizontal and the vertical axes can be arranged close to the electron beam so as to lower the deflecting power. Shape except for these three axes is formed into a shape, which is formed by connecting a circular arc having a center on the horizontal axis and having a radius Rv and a circular arc having a center on the diagonal axis and having a radius Rd. Consequently, a noncircular shape cross section such as a barrel type cross section can be obtained.
