Abstract:

To provide a cationic curing type resin composition excellent in normal state strength as well as durable strength; and an optical device assembled using the cationic curing type resin composition.

There are provided: (1) a cationic curing type resin composition including an epoxy resin (component A), a reactive diluent (component B), a cation polymerization initiator (component C), a filler (component D), and a silane coupling agent (component E), where the component D includes a urethane resin filler (component D1); and (2) an optical device assembled using the cationic curing type resin composition described in (1).
