Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize disposition of the center of an electric field to be generated during manufacture of a super-conducting acceleration cavity.
SOLUTION: This device is provided with a reinforce ring 2, provided on the outside of an iris part 5, having its reference face whose reference is an iris part inner diameter D1 on the outer circumference thereof and a target 8 having its specified dimensions from the center of a beam pie flange 4, provided on the outer circumference face thereof. Here, the disposition of a true beam acceleration axis to be generated during manufacture of a super-conductive acceleration cavity 1 is monitored by means of the reinforce ring 2 at the outside of the cavity, and an error of the beam acceleration axis is minimized. Therefore, the super-conducting acceleration cavity 1 with its high precision can be installed, it is easy to control and adjust a beam orbit necessary to allow an electronic beam in a elementary particle physics study and a positive electronic beam to collide with each other, and it is possible to significantly reduce the time and work required for experiment.
