Schedule information is set to a central processing unit 1 from a home. The schedule information is transmitted, via an outdoor communication channel 7, through a cellular phone 8, to the central processing unit 1 from outside the home. The monitoring operation condition of a plurality of burglar prevention devices such as human sensing sensors 2, 5, opening and closing sensors 3, 6 are automatically collectively set in accordance with an object such as "a leave mode", "a night mode". Consequently, achievement is made to the monitoring device eliminating negligent or wrong setting and allowing a positive operation.
