To improve gas removability and to enable the recycling of used ceramic end tabs by inscribing a dug groove running diagonally upward along the inclined line at the end edge of a base metal forming a bevel angle on the weld side of the ceramic end tab for arc welding.
The ceramic end tab 1 is inscribed with the dug groove 11 which runs diagonally upward along the inclination line 41 at the end edge of the horizontal base metal forming the single bevel groove angle on the welding surface side thereof. The welding surface of the ceramic end tab 1 for arc welding is inscribed with the dug groove 11' on the rear surface side as well along the dug groove 11. The gases generated from the flux components in a coated arc electrode are led out upward along the dug groove 11 and a light weight flux is led out as well. Consequently, defects are not generated in the weld toe parts. Further, the ceramic end tab 1 peeled after the end of the welding is bent and bisected from above and below and the divided pieces obtd. in such a manner are reusable as tabs for corner parts.
