Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit breaking of a heating element in a ceramic heater at a ceramic glow plug which is formed by the ceramic heater being held by a metal outer cylinder.SOLUTION: A ceramic glow plug includes: a ceramic heater 40 extending in an axial direction D1, the rod shape ceramic heater 40 having a heating element 42 which is embedded from a tip side to a rear end side of the ceramic heater 40; and a cylindrical metal outer cylinder 30 which encloses a periphery of the ceramic heater 40 while causing the tip side of the ceramic heater 40 to protrude and in which the ceramic heater 40 is fitted. Compression stress T is applied to a holding part 442 of the ceramic heater 40, which is held by the metal outer cylinder 30, along the axial direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
