Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable high-speed firing at a low temp. and to obtain a ceramic substrate having excellent electrical characteristics and adhesive strength to a thick film made of paste by reducing the conventional Al2O3 content and specifying the ratio among sintering aids.
CONSTITUTION: Starting material for ceramics contg. 92-94wt.% Al2O3 of 0.8-2.5μm average particle diameter and 6-8wt.%, in total, of SiO2, CaO and MgO as sintering aids in (50-80):(0-12):(10-40) weight ratio is molded into a prescribed shape and subjected to high-speed firing at ≤1,550°C max. firing temp. within ≤6hr firing time from the beginning of heating to the end of cooling.
