Title:
CERAMICS INTERNAL CHILL BODY AND PRODUCTION THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02127959
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent a metal from coming out of ceramics in spite of thermal expansion by winding a metallic wire rod in the grooves on the outer surface of a cylindrical ceramics sintered body so as to slightly project to the outside, wrapping the sintered body with a sheet-like buffer material and internally chilling the body with the metal.

CONSTITUTION: The stainless steel wire rod 3 is wound in the endless grooves 1 on the outer surface of the cylindrical ceramics sintered body 2 and both ends are brazed so as to prohibit the disengagement of the wire rod from the grooves 1. A ceramics paper 4 is wrapped on the outer peripheral surface and the prepn. for constituting the metallic part S of the internal chill body of a product pattern 5 made of a styrol resin by a full mold method is made. The ceramics internal chill body is obtd. when a molten metal is poured into this pattern after the pattern is set in a reduced pressure box and is embedded into silica sand. Since the ceramics sintered body 2 is enclosed in the buffer member 4, the thermal cracking of the sintered body by the thermal impact of the molten metal does not arise. The metallic part S is detained to the ceramics sintered body 2 via the wire rod 3 and is not, therefore, pulled out even if this part elongate thermally.
