Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a cerium dioxide sol which is applicable as an ultraviolet- ray absorbing material in a wide range of fields in which various kinds of solvent are used.

CONSTITUTION: A cerium dioxide sol is an anionic-type aqueous sol prepared by adding a phosphorous compound to a cationic-type cerium dioxide sol. By adding a cationic-type surfactant to it, it becomes an organo-cerium dioxide sol which is applicable to various kinds of organic solvent. These sols can be used in a wide range of fields in which various kinds of solvent are used.
