PURPOSE: To provide the subject chaff bundle wherein a chaff bundle unit is mounted each of a plurality of discharge plates divided in the circumferential direction around the periphery of the powder cylinder, and said units are covered with the distributing tubular sheet from the outer peripheral side, thereby to increase the chaff distribution effect.
CONSTITUTION: When an ignition mechanism 9 is ignited and a chaff bullet flies in the air, a high-temperature combustion gas is transmitted uniformly in the inner tube 3, and ignites simultaneously the powder 6. As a result, an explosion radidly occurs, and breaks the sheet 7 thereby adding an explosive pressure to protective discharge plates 13a through 13d of the chaff bundle 17. Around the periphery of the chaff bundle 17 there is a sheet 20, and the explosive pressure is made more instantaneously. As a result, the chaff 16 is widely spread in the air, and radio wave interruption can be effectively carried out.
