To provide a channel frequency setting apparatus that can continuously set frequencies by only performing an easy operation of a tuning knob without doing any band change operations even for a plurality of discontinuous frequency bands in a communication device that allows transmission and reception over a plurality of frequency bands.

The apparatus is configured to store a desired frequency zone of a plurality of frequency areas in a memory beforehand, and at the time of frequency change, to sequentially set reception channel frequencies in accordance with the rotation or manipulation of a channel setting dial (tuning knob) based on frequency zone data read out from the memory.
