PURPOSE: To decrease the overlooking mistakes in an electronic slip processing system by displaying the data to be noticed in a specific display method like blinking, etc., that is different from the ordinary data.

CONSTITUTION: A special display table is used to designate a subject range as well as the display attribute for display of the specific characters that are carried out in the specific colors or by a blinking, reversing or magnifying method. When the characters are supplied from a character input part, a single piece of registered character data is selected out of said display table. Then the contents of the selected data are searched. If no contents is searched, a procedure 5 is started. While the display attribute is obtained based on the relevant data if searched in a procedure 4. Thus the characters are displayed according to the obtained attribute. Furthermore it is checked in the procedure 5 whether the registered data is through or not. If not, a procedure 1 is reset. If so, it is checked whether another special display table is available or not. If not, the input data is displayed in a simple form. If so, the procedure 1 is reset. These actions are repeated.
