PURPOSE: To enable replacement with character information in desired form and to facilitate adjustments by providing an information recording device main body detachably with a character information additional writing unit which has an LED group opposite to a recording medium.
CONSTITUTION: The character information additional writing unit 20 is arranged between the exposure position of a photosensitive drum 14 and a developing device 16. The unit 20 has the LED array group 21 arranged at specific intervals in the axial direction of the drum 14 and an electrostatic latent image with a character font is formed on the drum 14 by the on/off combination of the LEDs. When screws 30a-30c are loosened, a light emission unit 20a becomes movable along holes 23a-23c of a plate 23 and the unit 20 is attachable to and detachable from the information recording device. This constitution facilitates the replacement with character information in desired form and adjustments.
