Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character input method and key arrangement for preventing thinking operation from being interrupted, concretely, a character input method and key arrangement for making it easy for a user to perform the blind touch of a button other than adjacent buttons, and unnecessary to remember that the positions of vowel keys, and unnecessary to move the fingers much.
SOLUTION: In this input method based on Roman character input, the positions of vowel keys are not determined, and characters are established with consonants plus vowels. In this case, the consonants in an A (square form of KANA) line are set concerning the A line, and characters are necessarily established under such conditions that the first pounding is a consonant and the second pounding is a vowel. Buttons in charge of vowels are flexibly arrayed in adjacent buttons so that the first pounding consonant key can be surrounded.
