To provide a characteristic data structure for a digital human body model which completely records characteristics of a geometric shape of the human body by using a digital human body model.
The characteristic data structure for a digital human body model includes a plurality of characteristic points on an individual human body, a plurality of enclosure lines passing the characteristic points, and a plurality of lines of longitude that connect corresponding characteristic points on the respective enclosure lines, all of which are used to draw appearance characteristics of the human body. Among these, enclosure lines of an arm part of the human body, for example, include armseye girth, elbow girth, and wrist girth. Of these, the armseye girth passes a shoulder point, an armpit front point, and an armpit back point, the elbow girth passes an elbow front recessed point and an elbow back projection point, and the wrist girth designates a part where a change in thickness of a hand part and a forearm part is the largest. Also, characteristic data structures of a thigh part, a hand part, and a leg part are also disclosed.
