PURPOSE: To reduce the labor of both a shopping customer and a clerk at the time of adjustment and to improve the adjusting work efficiency.

CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with an entrance side station 3 where carts 2 with commodities loaded should be stopped, an exit side station 4 which is set in front of the entrance station 3 adjacently to the station and empty carts should be stopped, a work station 5 where the clerk awaits who transfers commodities in carts 2 stopped at the entrance side station 3 to carts stopped at the exit side station 4, and an input means 6 for price summation which is provided at a position facing the work station 5 and is used to successively input the prices of transferred commodities, and a cart transporting mechanism is provided which transports the carts 2 stopped at the entrance side station 3 to the exit station 4. The input means 6 for price summation is provided with a bar code scanner on the lower surface of the front end part of an arm 61 extended above the space for commodity transfer.
