PURPOSE: To enable constant and quick charge by providing a means which instructs the quantity of charge to a charger connected with a charge current instructing circuit which interlocks with a central processor (CPU).
CONSTITUTION: An electric apparatus 1 mounts a chargeable nickel cadmium battery 2, and CPU3 always monitors the quantity of charge/discharge current. The CPU3 instructs the charge current to a charger 5 through a charge current instruction circuit 4, and the charger 5 supplies the battery 2 with the charge current according to the instruction. That is, when the residual capacity of the battery 2 comes to be small, the voltage of the battery 2 drops suddenly. Accordingly, on the basis of the voltage corresponding to the residual capacity of the battery 2 that one hopes detection, if the voltage of the battery 2 is higher than that, it is judged that the residual capacity of the battery 2 still exists, and if the voltage of the battery 2 is lower, it is judged that the residual capacity of the battery 2 does not exist, and these information of the residual capacity of the battery 2 is transmitted to the CPU3. Hereby, constant charge can be done, and if the residual capacity of the battery 2 is gone, quick charge can be done automatically.
