Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of constant-current circuits and charge time by charging a plurality of secondary batteries in parallel with a single constant- current circuit.
SOLUTION: A control circuit 310 of a charger 300 for charging secondary batteries 360 and 370 allows a plurality of voltages to be inputted to the voltage detection input of an error amplifier 340 for voltage control, and error amplifiers 320 and 330 for measuring current are provided corresponding to the secondary batteries 360 and 370, respectively. By using the charger 300 according to this sort of constant-voltage constant-current circuit, parallel charging is conducted simultaneously to a plurality of secondary batteries 360/370 from a single constant-current circuit. At the same time, by using the constant-voltage constant-current circuit for charging the plural secondary batteries 360/370 in parallel, the need for a switch circuit for controlling the current path between the constant-voltage constant-current circuit and a plurality of secondary batteries 360/370 is eliminated.
