Abstract:
To control a charging current supplied to a portable electronic apparatus, without providing a control terminal for the current control.
A light-emitting device 29, which emits light in accordance with the operation state of a portable electronic apparatus 1 is provided in the portable electronic apparatus 1, and moreover a photodetector 32 is provided in a charger 2. During the portable electronic apparatus 1 is charged, the light from the light-emitting device 29 can be detected by the photodetector 32. The light emitted by the light-emitting device 29 is detected by the photodetector 32, and the charging current is controlled based on the light detection state of the photodetector 32.
