Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent a battery from being overcharged or overdischarged without being accompanied by the overheat of a generator motor, and to control the output torque and the regenerative braking force of the generator motor arbitrarily.

CONSTITUTION: The charging and discharging controller for battery of parallel hybrid car uses a generator motor 4 connected to a high-voltage battery 10 as a drive source along with an engine 1, and outputs an exciting current control signal, based on a function switching signal and a required torque signal of the generator motor 4 from an engine controller 13 and a battery residual quantity signal of the high-voltage battery 10, to the generator motor 4 from a battery charging controller 12.
