Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a rotational difference between a shifter and a chuck claw as much as possible, and reduce abrasion of an outer peripheral surface of the shifter by pressing a small diameter part of the shifter by the chuck claw.
SOLUTION: Even when a grip of a work is released, a shifter 15 is put in a condition of pressing its small diameter part 15b by a chuck claw 11. That is, it is put in a condition where spring force of a coil spring 27 acts on the shifter 15 through the chuck claw 11. Therefore, even if a spindle 3 starts acceleration and deceleration, a large rotational difference is not caused between the chuck claw 11 and the shifter 15. Since the shifter 15 is pressed by spring force of the coil spring 27 through the chuck claw 11, it rotates in synchronism with it when the spindle 3 rotates. Therefore, abrasion between the chuck claw 11 and the shifter 15 is also sharply reduced.
