Abstract:
PURPOSE:To secure the transmission of the Chinese characters which can be delivered from the terminal unit via the center unit regardless of the types of those Chinese characters by substituting the undefined Chinese character code sent from the terminal unit with the code showing the same character or Chinese character. CONSTITUTION:In case no corresponding character pattern exists when terminal unit 1 gives the access to Chinese character generator 10 via the Chinese character code, generator 10 delivers full ''0''. Thus the Chinese character code is sent to reception control part 12 to be then supplied to transmission buffer 14 via transmission control part 13. Then undefined Chinese character code X and undefined function code UD within buffer 14 are sent to center unit 6 via the transmission line as well as to MODEM2. Unit 6 substitutes the transmission telegram code held by editing buffer 24 via the other character or Chinese character featuring the same meaning as code X received and then transmits it to unit 1 from transmission control part 25. In this way, unit 6 can transmit the Chinese characters which can be delivered through unit 1 regardless of the types of those Chinese characters.
