PURPOSE: To keep the excellent capability of collecting chips for a long time, and facilitate the treatment of the cutting oil in a machine tool to execute the cutting while the cutting oil flows.
CONSTITUTION: A turbine 9 and an electromagnet 10 integrated therewith are rotated by the air flow. This air flow generates the negative pressure at a chip collecting port 19. Chips 1 generated at a cutting part P are sucked by the negative pressure and attracted by the magnetic force to be attracted on the outer circumference of the electromagnet 10, and carried to a chip discharge port 20 by the rotation of the electromagnet 10. At the chip discharge port 20, the charging of the electromagnet 10 is OFF, and the chips 1 are separated from the electromagnet 10, and collected to a collecting tank 12. The cutting oil adhered to the chips 1 is collected and taken out from an oil discharge port 21 provided at the bottom of a casing 11 or from an oil discharge port 24 provided under a net member 25 of the collecting tank 12, and circulated and collected to an oil tank 13 for re-use.
