Abstract:
To perform rotation and axial movement of a coupling for chucking in a noncontact manner, and to improve load resistant characteristic at chucking.
This chucking device is constituted of an optical sensor 20 and an optical switch 21 for detecting both the distance between a coupling 12 and an object chucked 14, and a locking/non-locking state of lock claws 13 to locked parts 15 caused by rotation of the coupling 12, in a noncontact contact manner, and a thrust bearing 7 used concurrently with a bearing 5 improves a load resistant characteristics.
