PURPOSE: To provide a clad type positive electrode plate excellent in life performance in which a tube is never ruptured in use by providing a plurality of blades only on both side surfaces parallel to electrode plate surface of a cylindrical core metal, and setting the height of the blade to a value determined by a prescribed equation or more.
CONSTITUTION: Eight blades 1' are alternately provided on both side surfaces parallel to electrode plate surface of a cylindrical slender core metal 1 consisting of lead or lead alloy.
