Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clamping device capable of providing a sufficient clamping force even in a small rotary table.
SOLUTION: A rotary table comprises a spindle rotatably supported to a frame body, a work table fixed to the end part of the spindle, and a driving device for rotatory-driving the spindle. This clamping device for such a rotary table comprises a plurality of clamping discs rotated integrally with the spindle and arranged with a specified space in the axial direction of the spindle, a plurality of clamping faces formed at the frame body opposedly to the side faces of the respective clamping discs, and a braking means for pressing each clamping disc to the corresponding clamping face.
