To eliminate a non-abutting surface between a corona wire and a cleaning member and to prevent an omission in cleaning the corona wire by curling the sliding part of the cleaning member in contact with the corona wire like a flowering fern, and twining the cleaning member so as to envelop the corona wire and making it abut on all the peripheral surface.

A heat-shrinkable resin is used as the material of a cleaning brush 34 being high molecular material flocked on the supporting base body 31 of the cleaning device and the brush 34 is produced to be longish. Next, the brush 34 around the corona wire W is heated with hot air by a heating means 40 such as a hair dryer. Then, the edges of the brush 34 made of the heat-shrinkable resin are individually shrunk and twined to envelop the corona wire W like the flowering fern. Furthermore, the contact part with the corona wire W is pinpointed and heated and the brush 34 made of the heat-shrinkable resin is shrunk and any of the brushes 34 irregularly shrunk all over the peripheral surface of the corona wire W is molded to abut on the corona wire W, then the brush 34 is twined, whereby the cleaner for the corona wire W is manufactured.
