Abstract:
To provide a cleaning device capable of preventing an excessive increase in driving force to an image carrier, and appropriately removing toner, and an image forming apparatus.
A cleaning device cleans an image carrier 410 that carries toner images. The cleaning device 500A comprises a cleaning part 570A that contacts the image carrier 410, and a pressing part 560A that presses the cleaning part 570A against the image carrier 410. The pressing part 560A includes a nipping surface 562 that nips the cleaning part 570A in conjunction with the image carrier 410, and a projection part 563 that projects from the nipping surface 562 toward the image carrier 410.
