Title:
CLEANING DEVICE IN PRINTING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5596974
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To miniaturize the cleaning device and ease the discarding of residual toner by containing the residual toner having undergone cleaning into the containing chamber provided in photoreceptor.

CONSTITUTION: The toner remaining in a photosensitive drum 1 after the image transfer is scraped off from the drum 1 by a rotary fur brush 15 and reaches the lead-out part 23 by way of a screw conveyor 16. It is then contained in a toner containing chamber 3 whose other end is provided in the drum 1 concentrically to the revolving shaft of the drum 1, by way of a conveying coil 25 which protrudes into the containing chamber 3. This constitution of not providing any exclusive residual toner containing chamber makes the cleaning device simple and small and permits the easy discarding and disposition of the residual toner together with the drum 1 having reached the period for exchanging owing to wear, deformation, etc.
