Abstract:
To provide a cleaning member which offers good cleanability on a charging roller surface, is cheaper than brush rollers, and is free from fiber collapse-related problems, and to provide a charging device using the cleaning member.SOLUTION: A cleaning member 10 is provided, comprising an elastic body 21 designed to be brought into contact with a charging roller of an electrophotographic device to clean a surface of the charging roller. The elastic body 21 is made of a polyurethane foam having an apparent density of 50-100 kg//m3 according to JIS K 6401, where the number of skeletons exposed on an abutting surface is 6-20 per 1.5 mm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
