To obtain a cleansing agent composition suitable for eliminating a make-up cosmetic, comprising a carboxylic acid type anionic surfactant, a specific compound and a prescibed cellulose essential components, by setting the pH of the mixture in a fixed range.
This cleansing agent composition is obtained by combining (A) a carboxylic acid type anionic surfactant with (B) a compound of formula I, formula II or formula III and (C) a cationic cellulose of formula IV (R1 to R6 are each H, methyl, ethyl, hydroxyethyl or hydroxypropyl; (n) is tens to several hundred thousand) or formula V (R7 to R9 are each H, etc.; (t) is tens to several hundred thousand) and adjusting the mixture to pH 7.5-8.5. A fatty acid soap is preferable as the component A and the amount of the component A blended is preferably 2-30wt.%, especially about 5-25wt.%. The amount of the component B blended is preferably 2-40wt.%, especially about 3-30wt.%. For example, methyl cellulose may be cited as the cellulose of formula IV in the component C and the amount of the component C blended is preferably 0.1-10wt.%, especially about 0.5-5wt.%.
