To provide clothes for fishing in which the outside of abdominal area of clothes is reinforced and the butt of a fishing rod is readily supported by attaching plate-like padding members to the outside of the abdominal area.

Plate-like padding members 6 are attached at positions on the front sides lower than surface fabrics 1a and 2a of left and right front sections 1 and 2 and on the outside of abdominal area. These padding members 6 are obtained by carrying out die forming of a synthetic resin such as polyurethane, polyvinyl chloride resin or ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin or a rubber material and has flexibility and stiffness not smaller than those of surface fabrics 1a or 2a and frictional coefficients of the surfaces of the padding members 6 are made large. Protruded parts 6a and recessed parts 6b which become the bottoms and are formed lower than the protruded parts 6a are formed on the surfaces of the padding members 6. Protruded length of the protruded parts 6a are each preferably 0.5 mm to 3 cm. Rib parts (a) on the lower sides of the centers of the protruded parts 6a of the padding members 6 may be formed so as to be protruded long. Slip down of the butt 5 of the fishing rod 4 is prevented by the protruded parts 6a of the padding members 6.
