In such a case, the club head 12 has a hemispherical barrier 15 in an internal space delineated by the front surface and rear surface part of the club head and has a packing material 16 in the space on the front surface part 13 side segmented by this barrier 15. A hitting part 17 of the same area as the sectional area on the foremost surface part 13 side of the section packed with this packing material 16 is included in the front surface part 13 surface.
