PURPOSE: To provide a clutch device in which clutch plates are prevented from being deteriorated and seizing by efficiently restraining heat generation in forcible clutch clamping, and using for long periods is made possible.

CONSTITUTION: In a clutch device so constituted that a multiple disc clutch 14 arranged between differential rotating members 1, 5 through a pressing member 15 may be clamped, members 17, 18, 19, to be expanded under the specified high temperature of the multiple disc clutch 14, and having the high coefficient of thermal expansion are so arranged as to face the pressing member 15, the member 17 having the high coefficient of thermal expansion is expanded under the specified high temperature, so as to move the pressing member 15 in the direction to release clamping of the multiple disc clutch 14.
