To provide a coated paperboard using a pigment made by reusing resources, and to provide a method for producing the same.

The coated paperboard is obtained by using a multilayer paperboard composed of at least three layers of a surface layer, an intermediate layer, and a rear layer as a base paper and coating at least one side of the base paper with a coating agent containing a pigment and a binder. The coated paperboard is obtained by using a deinking froth discharged from a wastepaper treatment process as a main raw material through a dehydrating process, a drying process, a firing process and a grinding process of the main raw material. In the firing process, a regenerated particle aggregate aggregated so as to include three components of calcium, silicon and aluminum in a particle is at least contained as the pigment for the coating agent. The method for producing the same is provided.
