Abstract:
PURPOSE: To impart a high adsorptivity to a base material by coating it with a specific coating agent.
CONSTITUTION: A coating agent which comprises a powdery or granular carbonaceous material having an adsorptivity, a binder, and a solvent. Examples of the carbonaceous material include powdery and granular activated carbons, and ground activated carbon fibers. Examples of the binder include sodium alginate. The amt. of the binder is 1 to 45 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. powdery or granular carbonaceous material.
