Abstract:
To provide a coating composition for electromagnetic steel sheet capable of compatibly having both magnetic characteristics of a laminate core and heat resistance capable of maintaining contact strength between electromagnetic steel sheets even in a high-temperature state during driving, an electromagnetic steel sheet using the same, a laminate core, and rotary electrical machinery.SOLUTION: An electromagnetic steel sheet used for a laminate core is an electromagnetic steel sheet which has a surface of a base material steel sheet 2 covered with an insulation coating 3 formed by applying a coating composition for electromagnetic steel sheet, wherein the coating composition for electromagnetic steel sheet has a urethane prepolymer mixed at a specific ratio with epoxy resin and an epoxy resin hardener, and the urethane prepolymer contains one or both of a reactant of diisocyanate and polyether polyol and a reactant of diisocyanate and polyester polyol, and has one of an isocyanate group and a hydroxy group at a terminal, the number average molecular weight being 2,000-50,000.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
