Title:
COATING MATERIAL FOR DETECTING STRESS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03295429
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the coating material having a large specific heat generating coefft. and a low thermal conductivity by incorporating ceramics fine powder and inorg. binder into the surface coating material. CONSTITUTION:The coating material 2 contg. ceramics is applied on the surface of a test piece 1. The mixing ratio of the ceramics fine powder of the material 2 is preferably 90 to 95% and the mixing ratio of the inorg. binder 10 to 5%. The bottom end of the test piece 1 is so fixed as to enter the inside of the visual field of an IR temp. measuring instrument 3 and the top end of the test piece 1 is oscillated like an arrow. The temp. change of the coating material 2 on the surface of the test piece 1 is then measured to detect the stress distribution of the test piece 1. Since the material 3 is tightly adhered and fixed to the piece 1 in such a manner, the material can move cooperatively with the piece 1 and the material 2 receives a large stress in the same place as the part where the stress is large. The place where the heat is generated is easily detected in this way.
