To easily cope with a change in coating patterns by changing a control program controlling coating conditions of a plurality of coating nozzles, for coating a viscous liquid such as an adhesive on a coating object matter with a large area in an arbitrary pattern in a short time.
The coating method for the viscous liquid uses the plurality of the coating nozzles 3 arranged in an X axis direction parallel with the coating surface of the coating object matter, the ejection timing of which nozzles is controlled by a computer, and controls the ejection timing of the nozzles 3 by the preset control program 7 while moving the nozzles 3 in a Y axis direction with respect to the object matter B for coating the matter B. In this control, pressurized air from a pressurized air source 9 is ejected from the nozzles at the ends of the ejection timing of the liquid from the nozzles. Thus, the liquid can be completely blown off from the tip ends of the nozzles.
