Title:
COAXIAL CABLE CONNECTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05258808
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To entirely eliminate the need of soldering, and provide a stable connection by screwing the second shell to the first shell for tightening and connecting a braided conductor, and further screwing a central conductor to a central contact for the tightening thereof.

CONSTITUTION: The outer shield 92 of a coaxial cable 9 is peeled and cut out with a part of an exposed braided conductor 93 left in place. Also, an exposed insulator 94 is removed with a part thereof left in place, thereby exposing a central conductor 95. Thereafter, the conductor 93 is loosened and bundled into four sets, or the same number as braided conductor leading holes 3e. Then, the exposed cable 9 is sequentially inserted through the connection nut 2 of a coaxial cable connector, the first shell 3, the second shell 4, a central contact 6 and a central forward end body 7. Thereafter, the four sets of the conductor 93 are respectively led from the four holes 3e of the shell 3, and bent backward. At the same time, the internal thread 4d of the shell 4 is screwed to the external thread 3d of the shell 3. The shell 4 is thereby tightened and the conductor 93 is firmly connected to the shell 3. Thereafter, the conductor 95 is connected to the forward end body 7 and the contact 6.
