To provide a lightweight and inexpensive coaxial type transferring rod more flexibly following to subsidence and settlement variation of an article to be pressure-fitted, and a transferring construction method for a heavy load article using it.

The transferring rod is provided with a plurality of swelled parts with intervals in a longitudinal direction, and pressure-fits or draws out the article to be pressure-fitted by transferring the rod. The transferring rod is provided with first large diameter coupling members 5 arranged in series with an interval and having a coupling part at an end; a small diameter core wire member 7 for connecting and pulling the first large diameter coupling members 5 or bearing compression load and transmitting the load to the first large diameter coupling member 5 adjacent in series; a second large diameter hollow member 10 alternately arranged between the first large diameter coupling members 5 in series and arranged at an outer side of the small diameter core wire member 7 with a clearance; and small diameter hollow pipes 11, 12 having a smaller outer diameter than this. The second large diameter hollow member 10, the small diameter hollow pipes 11, 12 and the small diameter core wire member 7 are made to the insulated/separated state so as not to transmit the load by the clearance.
