PURPOSE: To copy a digital code on a original paper while changing the magnification in line units, by projecting the image of the code, which indicates the left line- unit magnification of the original paper, to plural photoelectrons and by copying the image of the right line of the original paper due to action of internal various units.

CONSTITUTION: Original paper 1 which is inserted between transparent plates 2 is caused to pass under roller 9, and a photosensitive paper is caused to pass under roller 18, and original paper 1 and the photosensitive paper are moved in the same direction. The image of original paper 1 on the right of narrow line 5 on the surface of transparent plate 2 is copied onto the photosensitive paper through shielding plates 19 and 20 by reflection mirrors 12 and 13, lenses 16 and 17, etc. In this case, the image of the code indicating the line-unit magnification shown on the left of original paper 1 is projected to photoelectrons 21...25 by action of light source 26 and lenses, and the image of the right line of original paper 1 is copied with a prescribed magnification by action of internal various units. Thus, the digital code on original paper 1 can be copied while changing the magnification in line units.
