Abstract:
PURPOSE:To process picture data with a high speed without using a high-speed system clock by storing plural lines-share of picture data, reading the stored data, and coding them sequentially. CONSTITUTION:A variation point processing part 3, a code generating part 5, a code buffer 7, and a coding processing control part 9 constitute one coding processing part. And a variation point processing part 4, a code generating part 4, a code buffer 8, and a coding processing control part 10 constitute another coding processing part. The picture data in even number-th lines are coded by the variation point processing part 3 and a code generating part 5, and stored in the code buffer 7. The picture data in odd number-th line are coded by the variation point processing part 4 and the code generating part 6, and stored in the code buffer 8. In such a way, the coding can be speeded up.
