Abstract:
PURPOSE:To facilitate self locking without reducing a coding ratio by making a code generated from a coding part the limiting the maximum number of '0's and making it the code containing one piece of a long period code series in a block of prescribed length. CONSTITUTION:By a conversion table 4, a data is converted to a code being a run length limited code corresponding to the block of the prescribed length and also containing at least one piece of the long period code series and recorded on a recording part 2. As for this long period code series the continuity of '1's is enabled but the code series contains the optional number of '0's between '1's in a fixed interval. Thus, since a regenerative signal containing the signal of a prescribed amplitude value without fail is obtained, the self locking is facilitated.
