Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil spring mounting structure capable of lowering the upper end position of a coil spring without degrading a characteristic of the coil spring, thereby capable of setting the body underside low to the required minimum ground clearance. SOLUTION: A coil spring receiving part 6 for placing a lower end of a coil spring 2 is formed in a side wall 1A of a trailing arm 1. A locating lug 6H projecting toward the upper part is formed in a receiver plate part of the coil spring receiving part 6. A forming position of this locating lug 6H is set so as to make a distance between a reaction center Lc to the coil spring receiving part 6 of the lower end of the coil spring 2 and the side wall 1A of the trailing arm 1 is minimized by allowing a coil end 2B of the coil spring 2 to abut to the locating lug 6H.
