Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin discrimination sensor capable of detecting even the edge part (e.g. pearl) of a coin, thereby improving its coin discriminating capability.
SOLUTION: A primary coil and a secondary coil are wound around a cubic U-shaped core formed by bending the upper part of a magnetic head inward. The magnetic head is arranged oppositely to the end part of a coin to be conveyed and orthogonally to the conveying direction. The primary coil is arranged in the center direction of the coin and the secondary coil is arranged in the outward direction of the coin.
